Our Location

Our location is perfect for those who are looking to walk in the footsteps of the great poet Wordsworth, with his final resting place mere meters away in the cemetery at St. Oswald’s Church. Wordsworth is one of the main reasons that Grasmere is so popular thanks to the many references and connotations of the area in his famous works, making our apartments a perfect base for any Wordsworth enthusiast.
We’re also located very close to the delicious Grasmere Gingerbread shop – a must-visit if you are in the area. With an utterly unique, sweet-yet-spicy taste which derives from a recipe originating in 1854 by Victorian cook Sarah Nelson, the Grasmere Gingerbread shop is responsible for the delicious ginger aroma that drifts around the village.
If days out with the family are more your kind of thing, Faeryland Grasmere is located close by and has a wonderful collection of rowing boats available for hire as well as well as a delightful tea garden which hosts a variety of fresh tea flavours for you to try hand blended on site.
For our more active guests, we’re in the perfect location to pull on your hiking boots and take on the likes of Helm Crag, Loughrigg, Brackenfell and Alcock Tarn. There’s plenty of walks and hikes in the area for all ages and abilities; whether you’re a couple who aren’t strangers to tackling even the toughest of fells or a family looking to get out and about in the hills of the Lakes, there’s a walk for everyone.
