The safety of our guests and team is important to us. We continue  keeping in place the necessary measures to keep us all safe.

The apartments are open all year round. All weeks during the season are let from a Friday to a Friday unless by special arrangement. During the winter period apartments are let for short breaks between November and February, dates to suit yourself.

Scafell has a log fire to provide that extra touch to your winter break – logs and kindling are provided free of charge. All Self Catering accommodation is VAT free. Electricity, gas and logs for the fires are included. Weekly changes of bed linen, towels, soap and toilet paper, etc. We aim to provide everything you require other than food.

Bookings

A non-returnable deposit of one third of the total holiday cost is required on booking to confirm, otherwise the accommodation will  be released. An acknowledgement will be sent upon the deposit being paid. The balance is due three weeks prior to the holiday commencing. A reminder is not sent but a further acknowledgement will follow completion of payment. Payments can be made by BACS, cheques payable to ‘Beck Allans’.

We accept payments by bank transfer, cheque and all major credit/debit cards. Bookings online will take a deposit by card and you can contact us directly for the balance or other method of payment.

The contract entered into is between Beck Allans Self Catering and the person making the actual booking (who must be over 18 years old) and all the other members of your party as notified by you. This contract is for short term holiday let only. The contract is  effective once the completed booking form is received with the required payment and written confirmation of acceptance has been sent by us. You are required to check the confirmation carefully upon receipt.

Deposits and Cancellations
Deposit payments are non-refundable. Balance payments will be refunded if the booking is cancelled and rented again. If the property is re-let for some of the days cancelled, the refund will be of the same value of the days re-let only. All cancellations incur an administration fee of £50. If the property is not re-booked, there will be no refund. We recommend you check your own travel insurance policy for peace of mind.

Check-In / Check-Out
Check in is 4 pm. Due to the extended cleaning protocols currently in place, it may take a bit longer to complete the service and we will do our very best to have the apartments ready for check in.

Check out is by 10am. We expect the property to be in a clean and orderly condition for incoming visitors for which cleaning materials and a vacuum cleaner are provided. Where a dishwasher is provided, it is to be left empty and the filter cleaned. Please report any breakages, which we will replace. We reserve the right to charge for any special cleaning or repairs we may have to do and any expensive replacement of equipment. The public area, stairway and hall are cleaned by us weekly.

Care of the properties
You and the members of your party are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the property or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair, replacements or making good if the damage is significant. We reserve the right to charge for missing items.

The Owners reserve the right to refuse or revoke bookings from parties which may in its opinion prove unsuitable as a result of their behaviour or otherwise for/in/at the holiday apartment.

Non Smoking policy
There is a strict non smoking policy. It is not permitted to smoke/vapor at Beck Allans inside our properties or within its grounds and encourage guests to smoke off site. We reserve the right to ask guests to vacate the apartments (no refund apply) if smoking in the premises and charge extra for any additional cost to minimise the smell in the apartment and further loss of bookings if we have to extend the time to refresh the property.

No Pets
We are unable to welcome any animals including guide dogs, anyone found to have bought a pet (even if left in the car) will be asked to leave and pay a cleaning surcharge; in such cases no refunds will be issued.

Over-use
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ADDITIONAL VISITORS BE ALLOWED TO SLEEP IN THE APARTMENTS OVER THE MAXIMUM NUMBER STATED. No Stag/Hen parties are permitted. We do not allow overnight stay in the car park or camping on our grounds.

Damage to cars
We can accommodate one vehicle for each apartment. The management of Beck Allans holiday apartments, Cottage and Guest House do not accept responsibility for damage to cars whilst parked in the grounds.

Wifi
We provide Wifi for your enjoyment, whilst we are confident of our coverage we cannot guarantee the service/ signal strength or bandwidth. You are using this service at your own risk.

The lead booking name is responsible for the content that is accessed whilst your group is on site. Please do not misuse the Wifi access.

Complaints
Our aim is to help you make the most of your holiday at Beck Allans so that you will return again and recommend us to your friends.

If there are any issues please contact us immediately whilst you are staying. We live on site so you can contact us by email, telephone, whatsapp or pop at the door to give us the opportunity to rectify any problems.

No refunds or partial refunds will be given after your stay has ended if any issues haven’t been brought to our attention whilst on site.

We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Rights are reserved to change specification of equipment bedding etc. should the need arise.

Our program is one of continuous improvement, however, the best improvements are those recommended by holiday makers. We appreciate any suggestions you may have in order that we can add to your future comfort and enjoyment.
